I’m a mum of four and originally from South Africa, where I lived for 23 years before moving to the UK in 2000, we were one of those couples flying on the eve of the millennium while everyone else was panicking about the Y2K bug.
At work: I’m a Chartered MCIPD Professional with a real passion for creating workplaces where people thrive. My career has taken me across several countries leading People initiatives from global organisations to scrappy start-ups. (I love a scrappy start-up)
One of my biggest achievements was being named the Most Inspiring HR Leader of the Year in 2023, a real turning point for me. It finally shut up my imposter syndrome. For the first time in my career, I truly believed in the value I bring to my role and the companies I’ve been part of. It was a moment of recognition that reminded me why I love what I do.
Outside of work, I co-founded Titan Fitness – Kids & Teens Charity, where I was a Trustee and coach, adapting fitness programs to suit children aged 5–19, including neurodiverse kids. I’d also done nearly three years of care work alongside my full-time HR role and part-time coaching. Those experiences gave me so much perspective and a deeper appreciation for how much of a difference we can make in people’s lives at work, at home, and everywhere in between.
