Did you know that the number one frustration for the women who are coming to The HR Big Meet is ‘getting senior management buy-in’? How would you feel if there was a possibility that this had something to do with the fact that you’re a woman?
In her workshop, Clare will be revealing the findings of the recent research carried out by PIB Employee Benefits, which at its highest level shows that women are less likely to get the sign off for investment for wellbeing initiatives in their organisations. Less likely than men, that is. And of course, whilst their research relates to wellbeing initiatives, it doesn’t take much of a jump to suggest that the same issue might be at play for other things you’re trying to get sign off for, too.
We think that this is absolutely ground-breaking (if not massively infuriating). After all, if we have evidence that the issue has never been us as woman, but maybe, just maybe, it’s due to the systemic barriers we face as women in our workplace…well. That means we can tackle the real issue, and stop internalising the problem as one for us to fix, don’t you think?
